I was at a virtual conference yesterday that blew my mind. For the first time, I felt truly understood in that space, and there was this amazing offer on the table. I thought to myself, Wow, I would love this!—until I saw the price tag. Let’s just say my bank account laughed at me. Loudly.
So, like any good Kingdom entrepreneur, I took it straight to Abba and said, "Your will, Your bill!" And then I chuckled because honestly, if God has called you to build for His glory, there’s a good chance you won’t be able to afford it—at least not in your own strength.
It doesn’t matter how many jobs you juggle, how many side hustles you stack, or how many savings challenges you commit to. If the vision is truly from God, He will make sure that when it’s all said and done, you can’t take credit for it. It’s not about you. It’s about Him.
For a moment, I panicked. Then, I had a realization: I had grown. A lot. There was a time when a situation like this would have completely stolen my joy. But instead of spiraling, the Holy Spirit reminded me, God is your provider. Trust Him and ask Him. So, I took my concerns straight to the secret place like, Hey, Abba. We gotta talk! Lol.
And this is what gets me—why do people say Christianity sucks? It doesn’t! It’s actually the best. You literally have a Father who cares about your every need. He won’t leave you, He won’t forsake you, and He certainly won’t let you drown. Meanwhile, that man, woman, job, or side hustle you’re banking on? They might just let you down. So, who are you willing to bet on?
I remember my spiritual mentor once told me something that stuck with me. He said, If you’re trying to build something and it feels harder than it should—notice I said hard-er, because just because it's God doesn’t mean it will be easy—go back to God and tarry a little longer. He’s probably trying to give you more clarity or prune some things off you first.
And whew, did that hit home! Many times, we think we’re ready to run, but God knows we still need to crawl a bit longer. He’s not withholding from us; He’s preparing us. If He dropped everything in your lap today, would you even be able to handle it? Or would it crush you?
Key Takeaways:
If God called you to it, He’ll fund it. It’s His bill, not yours. Stop stressing.
Provision follows vision. Your job isn’t to figure out the "how"—just obey and take the next step.
If it feels extra hard, go back to prayer. God might be calling you to deeper refinement before releasing the blessing.
Bet on God, not on man. The world will let you down, but God never will.
Trust the process. Delays aren’t denials—they’re divine detours leading to the best possible outcome.
So, are you going to keep stressing over the cost, or will you step out in faith, knowing that the One who called you is faithful to provide? Choose wisely.
